Class tlayouter

Declaration

type tlayouter = class(tcustomlayouter)

Description

This item has no description. Showing description inherited from tcustomlayouter.

A tcustomspacer descendant that auto-arranges its contained widgets; layouters can be nested for complex layouts. optionslayout combines, independently for each axis, a sync step — normalizing the widgets' sizes/caption room before arranging them, e.g. lao_syncmaxautosize (autosize then match every widget's client area to the largest one), lao_syncpaintwidth/lao_syncpaintheight (match outer frame width/height) or lao_synccaptiondistx/ lao_synccaptiondisty (match frame caption room) — with one of two arrangement modes: place (lao_placex/lao_placey), which spaces the widgets out (in decreasing widgetrect.x/.y order) at a distance between place_mindist and place_maxdist, following place_mode (wam_start/wam_end/ wam_center) and place_options (plo_propmargin distributes the distances as outer margins too, plo_endmargin lets one widget absorb the remaining space, plo_noinvisible skips room for invisible widgets, plo_scalesize/ plo_scalefullref scale the widgets to fit); and align (lao_alignx/lao_aligny), which snaps the other widgets' matching border (or axis, for wam_center) to that of align_leader (defaults to widgets[0]) according to align_mode, then optionally glues the whole aligned group to an edge of the layouter's client area via align_glue.

Links widget positions through its link* properties, normally invisible; its own position follows the leading linked widget (linkleft/linktop) unless spao_glueright/ spao_gluebottom is set, in which case it instead follows the trailing one (linkright/linkbottom). With spao_glueright False: repositioning/resizing linkleft shifts the whole linked group; if an_right is set on linkright, the spacer instead resizes linkright (keeping its right margin), otherwise it shifts linkright (keeping its width). With spao_glueright True, the same holds symmetrically for linkright driving the group, and an_left on linkleft. spao_gluebottom works the same way vertically, with linktop/linkbottom and an_bottom/an_top. Compare with tsplitter, which is normally visible, can be user-dragged, and can save its position to a tstatfile; a tspacer is instead driven only by its linked widgets.
