deo_selectonly restricts the edit to values actually present in the drop-down list (no free typing); combine with deo_autodropdown to pop up the list automatically on focus, and with deo_keydropdown to pop it up as soon as the first character is typed, letting the user find a row by typing its first letters — a lightweight alternative to a dedicated search dialog, usable even with several thousand rows in an alphabetically ordered list.
