Description

Converts a value to an SQL literal in the syntax expected by the connected database (which varies per backend, e.g. for dates or for the currency/ftbcd encoding). Use these — or tcustomsqlconnection.fieldtosql for a field's current value — instead of formatting SQL text by hand (e.g. in applyrecupdate), to stay portable across backends.
